Hi, my name is Ian Kuo. I'm a freelance photographer currently based in Taipei, Taiwan. I specialize in live concert, music-related, and event photography.
From big-budget productions at large venues to indie acts in dark basement bars, if there's a good show or party on, chances are I'll be in the thick of it cranking out the highest-quality work possible and having myself a blast.
My photos are most often featured on GigGuide.tw, Taiwan's best bilingual resource for all things live music. My work has also been featured in traditional print media, including: The China Post, The Taipei Times, and En Voyage, EVA Air's inflight magazine.
A native of Panama City, Panama, I came to Taiwan nearly seven years ago. Since moving here, I've discovered that Taiwan hosts not only an extremely tight-knit, diverse and vibrant music community, but also serves as a melting pot of rich cultures and languages.
When not working, I like to spend my time traveling, listening to music (preferably live), reading and stuffing my face with tasty food. I'm a fast learner, highly literate, tech savvy and can hold a conversation with just about anyone.
I'm available for assignments both in Taiwan and internationally. I travel well, speak three languages (English, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese) and adapt quickly to new environments. Feel free to get in touch with me to see how we can best achieve your goals.
